Wednesday Word: Thanksgiving

Written by on November 25, 2015

In light of Thanksgiving tomorrow, the staff here at KHYI would like to share what they are thankful for this year:

Chuck Taylor – I’m thankful that I have such a loving and caring daughter.  She volunteers to help others in need. This past summer, she spent three days with her youth group at church working with a Dallas-Ft. Worth area homeless shelter serving meals. She chose as her project for National Junior Honor Society to spend an hour a week reading to special needs children.  The other day in Target she found some money lying on the floor, and her very first thought was to take it to customer service because it may be all the money someone had and they needed to have it back.  My wife and I are very proud of the young lady she is becoming, so if you ask me what I’m most thankful for this year, it’s my daughter!

Brett Dillon – First of all, I’m thankful for our troops. Without them we wouldn’t have luxuries like spending holidays with our families. Second, I’m thankful for my family. Third, I’m thankful for my friends and finally I’m thankful for our listeners. I’ve gotten to shake hands with so many great listeners over the years and I look forward to meeting many more in 2016.

Allan Peck – I’m thankful for family, friends and God’s blessings. They go far beyond what we deserve.

Big Gus Samuelson – I’m thankful for my family, good music, good food, good cigars, Chihuahua’s and the ability to be thankful.

Brian Curry – Simply put… I’m most thankful for my family, my good health, and being employed.

Joshua Jones – I’m thankful for God’s grace, my wife, my kids, Texas and good music.

Everybody have a Happy Thanksgiving!
